Netbook Navigator NAV10T tablet may support Windows 8

We have news today of a new Netbook Navigator tablet that has a choice of three Windows operating systems, Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate and what we’re wondering is whether the new NAV10T tablet will be compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 8 OS when it finally makes its appearance.

The NAV10T tablet looks pretty decent but as Windows 8 is due for release this year (see more on this here) many potential consumers might like to know whether the tablet will support the new OS. While many of us would imagine that a new tablet would support Windows 8 we can’t take that for granted. The Netbook Navigator NAV10T has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N570 dual-core processor so whether this will be up to the demands of Windows 8 might be in question.

While we ponder on that you may be interested in other specs and features for the NAV10T. The starting price of $499.99 will get you a 10.1-inch multitouch LCD display with resolution of 1366×768, 16GB Solid State HDD and 2GB of DDR3 memory. Configuration options mean you can upgrade this to 128GB of storage, 3G option and a choice of the three Windows OS mentioned at the top of this article, according to Liliputing. Other inclusions on the NAV10T are a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, stereo speakers, microSD slot, SIM card slot and two USB 2.0 ports. It weighs 1.8 pounds with dimensions of 10.8 x 7.0 x 0.7-inches and looks quite stylish in black and silver shades.
